All About Chief Gnome, Jahmal Brown

A veteran of the 1st Gulf war this NJ born gnome is calling the midwest home these days.
I have been a software developer since the Y2K bug. Working for companies like DST,  Nielson-BDS,  AMC, Reuters, VML and Electrotank. I’ve worked on real-time, high-capacity systems and applications in the financial industry and in radio broadcasting. Slick-sexy multi-media advertising campaigns like Dr.Pepper-Indiana Jones 4.
I work on platforms as common as MS Windows to ancient dragons like VMS - and some stranger beasts…
With the closing of the Kansas City Reuters office due to the dreaded daemon of outsourcing, instead of moving to Beijing, I’m staying right here - working for me, working for you.

Digital Gnomes is also a web design and hosting shop. We handle website design & hosting for small to mid-size businesses including local ‘Mom & Pop’ businesses. Digital Gnomes will design and construct web-based applications and we perfrom software consulting work using Flash, C#, C++, .NET, PHP/MySQL technologies.

In today’s world of change, a a consistent professional attitude, discipline, and motivation will go miles, in fact  it’s taken me to several different countries and global events, including work with the US Air Force.

As Chief Gnome I will bring valuable traits to quickly become productive  and an asset to your organization.

What Gnomes won’t do.

Freedom of open communication is a provocative topic - great for coffee!
While I can appreciate those discussions and activities, for my peace of mind and our customers, Digital Gnomes’ web design and hosting agreements do not allow for:

  • Pornographic and/or obscene material.
  • Spamming or bulk, unsolicited email .
  • Activities that are illegal in the United States.
  • Activities that we deem inappropriate, offensive, or in bad taste.

I reserve the right to determine the makeup of our client roster based upon these criteria. If your website plans don’t adhere to the above criteria, please feel free to work with the many other outstanding website designers and hosts that will be happy to help you with your plans.
